The Peach[3] Comments

Dear Peach,
Today you are three months old. My, how times fly!
I am putting away clothes you have outgrown. Those big pants that I rolled up are now capris on you.
Just make sure you don’t outgrow your crib, so I can at least finish the crib skirt in time!
I love you, my sweet,
- Mommy
PS: Good job with the tummy time!

PPS: Tomorrow, I will post the cribskirt! I promise!!!

I don’t think I’ve had a more special holiday experience than my first Mother’s Day.
I woke up to a clean kitchen and the best waffles ever. Seriously.
Marion Cunningham’s yeasted waffles were perfection. So crisp, so light, so tasty! So good that we ate them before we could even wait to take a picture. So here is a quick picture of the remnants along with a wonderful card from my Sweetie as well as a most perfect rose from our garden.

And Sweetie took the baby long enough for me to finish the crib skirt! I’ll post more about that tomorrow.
But the best part of the day was spending time with the Peach who made this day possible for me. Here she is again, with her best bud, Raggedy!

Really, words don’t do justice to how special the first mother’s day is.
And a belated happy mother’s day cheer to all of the mothers out there. Past, present and future.

I love my child. And I love the fact that she can make anything look super cute.
Except these pants.

As the weather has been coolish and rainy for a good chunk of March and April and probably May, I feel the need to put pants on the Peach. And my sweetie was kind enough to run into the frighteningly overwhelming BabiesRUs to pick up some pants for the baby. And returned with these baby-size MC Hammer pants.
You can see in this photo the tightness and long cuff of the green pair of pants here, and pointed out by Jen.
See how similar they are to the MC Hammer pants? Except for the gold lame.

Of course these do not match the cuteness of my baby. Surely, my baby deserves better?
Enter my obscene love of making my own bias tape. Like this darling yellow and spring green dot ones that I put on the bottom of the Peach’s pants:

Ahh… Much better!
